The CCA is committed to supporting the highest standards of coach training. At the same time the course recognition mark represents a trust mark for buyers of coach training as they know that the CCA has validated the coach program offered.

The Certified Coaches Alliance (CCA), is dedicated to the following:

  • To undertake and supervise the yearly renewal process of graduate certifications of affiliated schools of coach training. This renewal process stems from the need to ensure that there is a process for the Registrar to maintain an accurate record of the number of active coaches remaining in practice on our "Active Coach Registry." Further, to account for those coaches who have retired their certification or who have become deceased during the prior reporting period.

  • To construct, develop and maintain an efficient time-sensitive process of accreditation of coach training and programming leading to coach certification. Coach training and programming is carefully scrutinized for its adherence to the established coaching core competencies accepted and adopted by most worldwide coaching organizations. Programs that achieve accreditation must adhere to a minimum of 60% of its total hours of training linked directly to these established competencies.

  • To maintain the highest levels of professionalism within the worldwide coaching arena with the primary focus on advancing the establishment and relevancy of programming that cannot garner approval from other coach accreditation agencies whose guidelines discriminate against platforms designed to reach otherwise marginalized individuals. This may include:

    • Feasibility to attend live training/certification programming or events due to health related issues, physical disability, travel or financial restrictions;

    • Inability to attend live teleconference or Internet training/certification events where the cost of long-distance telephone services is prohibitive and/or where internet service is unstable;

    • On demand, distance and/or correspondence programming leading to coach certification, recognized for exceptional commitment to excellence, innovation, high-quality services and positive outcomes;

    • On-demand distance prerecorded programming leading to coach certification, recognized for exceptional commitment to excellence, innovation, high-quality services and positive outcomes.

As the arena of coach training continues to grow, we have learned that no one school can be all things to all people. As each school flies its own colors and has its own particular approach - there is a continued need for additional schools and specialized coach training to meet the high demand for coaches.
